Much more comfortable, but less sporty than prior Car (2010 M3). Don’t drive as aggressively in it, which is good for my age. Lots of technology improvements over old car.
The BMW 5 Series was fully redesigned for the 2017 model year, gaining autonomous driving features. The available Parking Assistance Package includes a variety of driver support systems that can gently park the vehicle in either parallel or perpendicular parking spots with little effort. Everything is managed from a remote control keyfob.
BMW’s available Traffic Jam Assist (part of the Driving Assistance Plus Package) manages both steering and speed in stop-and-go traffic with minimal driver intervention. The system uses both lane markings and the car ahead for guidance.

Wow Wow….Absolutely amazing ride. Sooooooooooooooo Quiet….and the handling absolutely amazing. The mileage is amazing…46mpg+….great pick up and comfort. Toyota/Lexus/Honda, please take a page out of BMW’s book and learn from it.

The 530i Sedan has a very comfortable ride. We make long 500+ mile trips and the ride is amazing. With the standard 4 cylinder engine, the gas mileage is 33+ on trips. This is exceptional for a sedan. Traded in our 2011 528i, which we had super reliability, for the 2018 530i and are not disappointed again. We feel the front seats are comfortable for us. The controls take some time to get used to but having the 2011 528i made it less of a problem.
